Kajol: Still one of the best in Bollywood

Kajol, the datughter of popular yesteryear actress Tanuja is one of the most popular actresses of the Indian film industry. She is the fourth generation actress of her family. Her mother Tanuja, maternal aunt Nutan , maternal grandmother Shobhna Samarth and maternal great grandmother Rattan Bai were all movie stars. Even her cousins Monish Behl and Rani Mukherjee are well known actors of Bollywood. In 1992, Kajol made her debut with the movie ‘Bekhudi’. Her second film ‘Baazigar’ came in the year 1993, was her first hit. In this thriller, Kajol was paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan. This movie created one of the most loved and made for each onscreen pair in Indian film industry.

The on screen pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol once again created magic on screen in the film ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange’. Aditya Chopra directed the film and the film is one of the most successful films of Indian cinema. Her acting was highly appreciated and was felicitated with the ‘Filmfare Best Actress’ award. In the year 1997, Kajol played the role of a villain in the movie ‘Dushman’ for which she won loads of accolades. ‘Khabi Khusi Khabi Ghaam’ proved to be another major hit of Kajol’s career and she was considered to be one of top actresses of Indian cinema. In this movie also Kajol was paired opposite Shahr Rukh Khan. Now she is waiting for her latest movie ‘U, Me Aur Hum’ to release, which is directed by her actor-director, husband Ajay Devgan.
