Shahid Kapur lists among the future generation super stars of Bollywood. This next-door boy look actor was born on 25th February 1981 in Maharastra, India. His father is the renowned and critically acclaimed actor Pankaj Kapur and his mother is the classical dancer and actress Neelima Azmi. He did his schooling from Raj Hans. He was in the dancing troupe of Shaimak Davar. Besides being a good actor, Shahid Kapur is also a great dancer. In each song where he has danced, he has given life to those songs. His first on-screen appearance was in a music video for the bands of Aryans. The song where he featured went on to become a chart buster. At the age of 18, Shahid Kapur got an opportunity to feature in a Pepsi advertisement, which had Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.
It was with in 2003 with the movie ‘Ishq-Vishk’ directed by Ken Ghosh when Shahid Kapur got his first breakthrough. This peppy college romance was also the first film for Amrita Rao and Mtv VJ Shenaz Treasurywala. This candyfloss romantic flick earned Shahid many accolades and fans and was big hit. He received the Hero Cycles stardust Award and Filmfare Award for the best New Comer of the year 2003 for his debut film ‘Ishq Vishk’. This adorable looking actor has immense potential his film ‘Jab We Met’ directed by Imitiaz Ali, which also starred Kareena Kapoor, was one of the biggest hit of 2007.
